Summer Camp 2008The Camp Albemarle Experience![]() Camp Albemarle offers overnight camping experiences for children and youth of all faiths and denominations. Our mission is to provide safe, fun, and meaningful activities that allow campers an opportunity to build relationships with peers, staff, and God. Many Presbyterian clergy speak of their summer camp experiences as some of the most important in their faith journey. One of the significant ways that New Hope Presbytery helps parents fulfill their baptismal vows to nurture children in the faith is through its summer camping program at Camp Albemarle. Camp Albemarle provides a structured daily program in a close Christian community. We have clear goals of what we want our campers to take home with them when camp is over. Our goal is that all campers will have: - experienced a joyful week in which they have felt secure
and well cared for NOTES: If a camp is listed on line as "full" please call the camp office at 252-726-4848, or e-mail Robert@campalbemarle.org Because we must fill cabins with males or females, we are accepting a limited number of registrations on line. This will allow us to confirm your registration and communicate with you to answer any questions you may have. Special Note 2008: Because of "no-shows" we are unable to confirm your summer camp registration until we receive a deposit. Please continue to register on line, however, if you choose not to make a payment on line, please send a deposit of at least $100 to Camp Albemarle so we can confirm your registration. professionally certified instructors will teach technique and safety
before guiding trips around Huggins Island and Bear Island. These
camps are physically demanding so a good level of fitness is

PADI Junior Open Water Certification can be upgraded to PADI Open Water certification after their 15th birthday with no additional instruction (just a small fee). We are planning four shore entry dives and one dive off a boat on a real ship wreck! Participants must provide their own mask, snorkle, fins and book (details will be sent with confirmation), but everything else will be provided. Because of the amount of time required for campers to receive this certification they will be spending most of their week learning about diving and actually diving, so normal camp activities will be limited.
