Rental Packages

We believe that most groups do not want someone "hanging over" them. When you arrive you will find a packet of information waiting for you, along with the buildings you have requested unlocked (heat or air conditioning on) and a set of keys to those buildings. Shortly after you arrive one of our staff will stop in to welcome you. Within the packet of information are phone numbers of all our staff. Before you arrive we will help you to understand exactly what is included in your rates, and what you need to bring from home. We also don't belive in extra fees for the use of the camp. Included in all overnight rates (or day use building rates) include use of a kitchen (with pots, pans and dishes), use of the canoes and kayaks, and use of audio visual equipment in that building. We also want to make your stay enjoyable, so if you need anything during your stay, please don't hesitate to call one of our cell phones and we will be right there to meet your needs. A staff member is on call 24 hours a day while you are here.

The package you rent is yours for the weekend. We will try to stop by to make sure everything is OK, but will not disrupt any sessions you have. If we see you are in a meeting, we will quietly leave. We also believe that you should be able to set your own schedule. If you decide that you want to stay up all night and sleep all day, that is OK with us (please be respectful of other groups using the site at the same time).

If you rent the entire camp you will have the whole camp to yourselves. If you rent a portion of the camp, other groups maybe sharing the camp with you. Usually groups work together very well, explaining what shared facilities they would like to use at certain times. If you must use a certain shared facility at a certain time (such as the Vesper Dell at 9:00 on Sunday morning), please let us know in advance and we will notify any other groups using the camp.

Below are listed the packages we offer, as well as the shared facilities. Because our our detailed price structure, please call the camp for specific rates.

The Lodge

The Lodge rental is very popular year round (plan to book in advance, but don't be afraid to call for last minute cancelations). When you rent the Lodge you have exclusive use of all the bedrooms in the lodge, the main room (for eating and meeting) and the lodge kitchen. The lodge can sleep 42 in 7 individual rooms, but several of those are top bunks (not generally appealing to adults). Renting the lodge also gives you access to all shared facilities.

The Cabins and Dining Hall

The Cabins and Dining hall are also rented as a package, or individual cabins can be added to the Lodge rental (for overflow). If your group has rented the cabins and dining hall you have exclusive use of up to 6 heated cabins, exclusive use of the dining hall and dining hall kitchen, and shared use of the bathhouse and all other shared camp facilities.

The Pool

Our Junior Olympic Pool is generally available in May-September, but maybe opened and closed earlier or later based on requested use and weather. This is the only shared facility that has an additional cost. Cost is a one time fee for the time you are here (if you request the pool, you will recieve a key to the pool and be charged the fee whether the pool is used or not). Groups requesting the pool must provide their own certified lifeguard. If you request the pool in early spring or late fall, we will notify you if we are unable to meet that request.

The Old House

"The Old House" is located next to the office and will be available in 2005 as an individual rental or add on to other facility rentals. It is a small (3 bedroom, one bath) house suited for a family or few inviduals. Groups or indivudals renting the old house will have exclusive use of the old house plus shared use of all shared facilties. Please call for specifics.

Day Use

Day use is available for any of our facilies (including shared facilities listed below). The Lodge is wonderful for planning meetings, small organization meetings, or smaller groups needing time to work together. Our Dining hall offers larger facilies for larger groups. The grounds (and pool if desired) are perfect for picnics, family reunions, weddings, or other large group events. All facilites rented for day use will have exclusive use of that facility and access to shared facilities.

Shared Facilities

As explained above, all rental groups, unless otherwise requested are expected to share the rest of the facilities in camp. These facilies include: The pavilion, the campfire circle, Vesper Dell, all grounds (grassy areas and playfields), and multi-use court.

Other Uses

Our goal is to make your event successful. With plenty of parking, and lots of open grassy areas, please give us a call if you have an idea. With various set-ups we are able to host very large or very small groups, from a few hours to a few days. Just give us a call and see what we can offer.
